The Warehouse has a massive music history…

During the late 70s The Warehouse was THE punk venue in the north-west.

It played host to some of the coolest bands around. Joy Division played at the club only 12 weeks before Ian Curtis’s death. Black Flag had a hectic night and lead singer Henry Rollins was beaten up in the mosh pit. The band China Crisis were regulars and a mention of the club can be found in one of their album sleeves. In 1986, The Stone Roses played at the club just before hitting the big time.

Today the club opens every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday night playing the best in alternative music across its three floors.

At The Warehouse we believe that it’s not what you wear or how you act that makes you alternative; it’s your refusal to accept that we can be pigeon-holed according to our tastes. That’s why The Warehouse offers all genres of music, across three floors where people can enjoy a safe, fun atmosphere without being judged.
